A Note on Theatre Technicians (to actors and all)
Friday, May 18, 2007, 12:47 AM EST [General]
Theatre technicians are many things to many people, and a rare breed. We are the light on an actor's face, the clothes on their body, and the hands that build THEIR world. Although, we are relegated to working in the darkness, hidden away in the deepest corners of a theatre, never seen and never heard, we are always present for them. You know and they know that we are there, for them and you, and we will continue to be there. Don't shun us, embrace our existance. Treat us like professionals, nay people, not gophers or slaves. Do this and we will return the favor ten-fold, to you the audience and them, the actors.
